How do you check whether BTCL is down?

We request btcl.gov.bd every two minutes from servers in Dallas, Washington DC, Frankfurt and Singapore and record the HTTP status, response time, DNS and TLS details. An outage is declared when most regions fail for two consecutive rounds.

BTCL is up but not working for me — what can I do?

Hard-refresh the page, try another network (mobile data vs Wi-Fi), switch DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and flush your DNS cache, and check whether a VPN, firewall or parental control is blocking the site.

What you can do while it's down

btcl.gov.bd is not answering our servers either, so the problem is on their side. Check their official status page or social accounts, and try again in a few minutes. Meanwhile the steps below rule out anything local.

1 · Browser

Hard-refresh: Ctrl+F5 (Mac: ⌘+Shift+R).
Try a private/incognito window — rules out extensions and stale cookies.
Clear cache & cookies for btcl.gov.bd.

2 · DNS

Flush DNS: Windows ipconfig /flushdns, macOS sudo dscacheutil -flushcache.
Switch to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 (Google) DNS.
Works on mobile data but not Wi-Fi? Your ISP's DNS or filtering is the culprit.

3 · Network

Disable VPN/proxy, or turn one on if your region blocks the site.
Check firewall, antivirus web-shield and parental controls.
Restart your router; ask a friend elsewhere to open this page.
